Vein Removal | Broken Vein Treatment Bristol

Why do veins become superficial?

Superficial veins can occur on the skin's surface at any time on the face or the legs, and can vary in size and shape. These veins can be known as: spider veins, telangiectasias, spider angiomas or benign vascular lesions

Spider veins begin as tiny capillaries and appear as small red, blue or purple veins that commonly appear on the surface of the thighs, calves, and ankles.  Spider veins can be a cosmetic concern or may cause aching, heaviness, itching and night cramps.

Spider veins can be isolated, with “feeder” veins or with larger underlying varicose veins.

What forms can facial and leg veins usually take:

  • They may appear in a spider shape with a group of veins radiating outward from a central point.

  • They may be in a linear pattern that can appear as thin separate lines.

  • They may appear in a pattern that resembles branches on a tree
